Frequently Asked Questions

What impact will it have on our power bill by switching to energy efficient windows?

Starting in 1992, with help from ENERGY STAR®, American businesses and families saved $297 billion on utility bills and prevented more than 2.1 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions by 2013. All Pella® products meet or exceed ENERGY STAR certification in all 50 states and most of Canada. How does this impact you? Not only might you find a drop in your heating and cooling bill, you will help protect the environment.

How much will my replacement door or replacement windows project cost?

Our windows and doors are specifically designed and custom-built for your home, meaning no two projects are identical. Our wide variety of products make it difficult to discuss pricing without first understanding your wants and needs and the project results you envision. Due to this nature, we find it useful to send out a Pella sales representative who will provide you with a quoted project price upon seeing the project site itself. To speed up the quoting procedure, your Pella® sales representative is prepared with a computer and a portable printer so that they can provide you with all the quote information you’ll need—once the sales representative has been given the opportunity to consider the requirements of the job and aligns them with your vision.

In addition to offering a large assortment of high-grade products to select from, we also have a generous offering of payment and finance options. Pella is uniquely-suited to offer you fantastic window and door products at affordable prices, offering you a chance to make the renovations you want to while building great value into your Danville area home while you do it.

What should I use to clean my glass windows?

We advise that you clean them with a prepackaged vinegar-based cleaning solution or use an ammonia-free glass cleaner such as Windex or Sparkle. You can also make your own with one part vinegar to ten parts water. Put the solution on a soft, clean microfiber cloth or paper towel. We do not suggest using glass cleaners that are ammonia- or alcohol-based as they could leave streaks or create a film that draws moisture and dust.

Do Pella® employees actually install your replacement windows and doors?

Pella uses contract installers who are certified to install Pella windows and doors. They are required to complete a thorough set of training courses so that your windows and doors are correctly installed and meet Pella’s strict warranty criteria. We seek out the best Danville-local people and recruit them to install our projects. Before we hire anyone, Pella requires them to pass a drug test and background check. Our installers are fully protected by liability and workers compensation insurance. Aside from Pella product warranties, your installation is also covered for 10 years under the installation limited warranty and service agreement.

What's different about buying replacement windows and doors from local Pella® showrooms versus buying from retailers like Lowe’s?

Your Danville Pella branch offers services and support that “big box” stores can’t perform. Our experts are highly-trained in selling, installing, and servicing Pella Windows & Doors. Using a dedicated Pella sales team, project manager, local service technicians, and quality installers means that your project will have the expertise of our whole team. We like to use the term “single source accountability”, meaning that there’s no one to chase down regarding a product, installation, or warranty issue. You can easily contact your sales representative or our main office if you have any concerns and we will get to work resolving the issue.

Why is Pella® the right choice for my home?

There are many reasons why Danville homeowners choose Pella for their replacement window and door needs. Pella is a privately owned, professionally managed company founded in 1925. Each of our high quality windows and doors are produced with care and serviced by Pella’s qualified Direct Sales Network. Unlike other manufacturers who sell exclusively through retailers, Pella has dedicated windows & door design centers across the United States and Canada. This unique way of conducting business gives our customers in Danville a highly personal experience with the help of a local to Danville, Pella-certified team. Whether you are contemplating the beauty of wood, the strength of fiberglass, or the low maintenance of vinyl—Pella has a superior quality, energy efficient and durable solution.
